Allison V. Smith has just released her newest zine! Can You Hear Me Now?, her 4th zine, is now available for sale through her blog, Superficial Snapshots. Allison took all of the Zine 4 photos with her iphone, and features images from Texas, Maine, California and places in between. They are going fast, so hurry and get yours before they sell out!

In her first exhibition at the Barry Whistler Gallery, Takako Tanabe, who lives and works in Marfa, shows several drawings, which are her attempt to fill the void created by empty spaces in our environment. Snow White opens this Saturday, reception from 6 - 8 PM!

Allison V. Smith and her mother Jerrie Smith, will be on hand this Tuesday December 8th for the opening of the new bar behind Park, Bar Celine. Allison and Jerrie will be signing copies of their book Reflection of A Man: The Photographs of Stanley Marcus. Come by between 7 and 10 PM!

Barry Whistler Speaking at Danny Williams Show

Barry will be on hand tonight at the reception for Danny's show at the SMU Pollock gallery. The show features over 40 of Danny's landscape drawings from France, White Rock Lake and more. The reception is from 5 - 7 PM and Barry will speak around 6:00. The show will be up through December 12th.

Barry Whistler Gallery is pleased to announce our December show Snow White, which opens next Saturday December 12, 2009, reception from 6-8 PM. This show focuses on the diversity of 7 artists. The show includes work by Jin-Ya Huang(Dallas), Peter Ligon (Dallas), Kirsten Macy (Los Angeles), Raychael Stine (Chicago), Takako Tanabe (Marfa), Danny Williams (France), and Mark Williams (New York).
